I think that in order for the ski break to be a complete success, youngsters should feel like they have improved and return home much more confident in their abilities. Sölden is highly rated for its ski schools, with the Yellow Power Ski School offering a special teen ski lesson programme designed to help young skiers develop in a fun and supportive environment. The lessons are in groups of up to 8 people (between the ages of 9 and 14) where there is a high level of personal involvement, focus on group dynamics and plenty of encouragement – this will see them make new friends whilst also bettering their skills.
There is another teen ski and snowboard course for those between 13 and 17 which teaches the riders how to ski or board down the valley, whilst also incorporating a few cool tricks along the way. If they have an interest in freeriding, sign them up for the Youth Sölden group where they can ski or snowboard through the stunning off piste areas and make new friends from around the world.
After Dark Adventures
Boredom is a major concern for teenagers when on holiday, but you do not have to worry about that at Sölden. Once a week, there is a fantastic night skiing and evening show which is, essentially, a party under the stars.
