This triathlon is suitable for both experienced sports-people and amateurs alike, and can be run individually or as a pair. It starts with a 500 metre swim in the sea, from where participants get on a bike for the next 10 kilometres, after which they leave their bikes and run for the last 4 kilometres. Supportive observers can be found at almost all points in the triathlon, including families having picnics on the sidelines.
After prizes are given just after midday, it is typical for people to go out and celebrate with a hefty lunch and a swim in the sea afterwards. If you want to carry on celebrating into the night, you can do this in any of Roquetas de Mar’s lively bars and restaurants.
Direct transport from close by airports to accommodation near the event is available at Shuttle Direct.
