The charming coastal village of Pefkohori is one of the most popular places for holidaymakers to the much-lovedregion of northern Greece.
Set against a picturesque backdrop of pine-clad hills, its shores lapped by the temperate waters of the Aegean Sea, it really is a tonic for the soul. And there’s absolutely no doubt of the three main attractions here: the beach, the food, and the lively nightlife.
If you’re looking for an abundance of history and culture it might not be your perfect holiday destination, but if you’re dreaming of sun, fun and fabulous food, you’ve found your Nirvana!
Pefkohori’s Top Three!
Pefkohori’s top three attractions are no secret and it’s long been a magnet for young, fun-loving travellers to spend time chilling out, partying, and sampling the mouth-watering food. Even if you’ve only got a few days to spend, you’ll discover the best of the local delights right on your doorstep.
The Beach
“The beach” is a little misleading, because there’s more than one at your disposal – and each is as beautiful as the next! The main central one is in front of the promenade, which is lined with shops, restaurants and bars. The beach itself is perfection, with crystal clear water, almost no waves and a lovely sandy shore. It’s a lovely place to do some calm water snorkelling, and there are plenty of amenities, including sunbeds and umbrellas for hire if you just want to kick back.
If you’re up to explore a little farther afield, these beaches are also all located within a few kilometres of the village:
- Glarokavos: popular and picturesque, wide shores and a shallow lagoon.
- Hanioti: lots of lively bars and a great place to enjoy watersports.
- Xenia: safe swimming, lovely scenery, good amenities.
- Golden Beach: very laid back and relaxing, lots of places to sunbathe, gorgeous surrounds.

Whatever mood you’re in, there’s a place to suit – from laidback beachfront cocktail bars to sweaty clubs with thumping beats. One of the best things is the compact and accessible nature of the village, which means you’ll have the chance to sample more than one place on a night out. The following is just a small selection of what’s on offer…
Orca: Cafe by day and club by night, Orca is one of the most popular places to go. With stylish surrounds, delicious and well-priced cocktails, and the opportunity to dance your heart out, if you’re looking for fun, you’ve found it!

Veranda Cocktail Bar: If you’re feeling a little bit sophisticated, head to this Caribbean-themed bar and treat yourself to one of their signature cocktails. Frozen Mojito anyone?

The Food

As well as the usual Greek favourites, there are a few local dishes that you really shouldn’t leave without getting your tastebuds tickled by!

Choosing the Right Transfer
