Playa de Troya
This is the beach with a little bit of everything. As it is located in what is considered one of Costa Adeje’s best areas for families, this is a great place to start your holiday. With a whole host of leisure activities and restaurants, you can be sure that the entire brood will stay entertained for hours.
Sun loungers offer the adults the chance to relax (and possibly even enjoy a well-deserved massage) in a calm and peaceful atmosphere. It really is one of the region’s best beaches if you’re looking for a relaxing day!.
Away From the Beach
Whilst you won’t want to leave in a hurry, there is plenty nearby if you’re keen to explore a little more:

Playa Puerto Colón
Puerto Colón is a central area with much on offer for the whole family. The kids, for example, will love the water playground which includes a trampoline and slides. The coastline is idyllic, with the sand a gorgeous light colour and the water shallow enough for everyone to enjoy themselves safely.
The nearby promenade has a range of restaurants, shops and cafes when you’re ready for something to eat or drink. If you want to cool down and kick back, there are many sun loungers and umbrellas available for hire.
Water Sports at Puerto Colón
You’ll find several companies that offer aquatic activities right on the promenade and nearby in the harbour. You can sign up for a number of different water sports including:

- Parasailing
- Flyboarding

Playa del Bobo
This is a peaceful and well-maintained area, so it is ideal if you’re looking for a calm day out. On the promenade, there are plenty of restaurants to enjoy a bit of food and drink, and most of them offer good value for money.
Playa del Bobo isn’t generally too crowded, so you should have no trouble finding a space for you and your family to set up shop for the day. This is a great beach for the children to swim, as the water is free of pedalos, banana boats and other sports.
Where to Stay
Labranda Isla Bonita – This hotel is ideal for young families, with two pools just for children and a kid’s club to keep the little ones entertained. The hotel is located just 450 yards from the beach, and also offers a gym, tennis court and sun terraces.
Cosy Studio – Cosy Studio offers an excellent location, an on-site restaurant and apartments that feature a private terrace.
How to Get There
There are flights to Tenerife South Airport from all over the UK. On average, it takes just over four hours, and there are plenty of take-off times available to suit your family’s schedule.
