Marmaris is well known as a holiday destination among those who love sand, sea, blue skies and a lively atmosphere, but it is not just Marmaris by day that attracts its many fans. The nightlife in this buzzing Turkish seaside town is great fun too. Whether you want to hit the nightclubs and bars or want to go local and enjoy some belly dancing or folklore bands, there is something for everyone here.
This is a tourist destination after all, but the locals have made a great effort to provide you with the opportunity to appreciate a real Turkish nightlife too. One evening you could enjoy a meze banquet under the stars and the next you could be watching colourful dancers wearing traditional dress and acting out ancient stories through dance.
Here are our favourite places to go out and enjoy Marmaris by night.
Marmaris Bar Street
This is where it all happens at night in Marmaris and many clubs and bars are open until 4am, with fast food eateries open 24 hours a day. Music blasts from every corner and there is an eclectic blend of styles and rhythm. From cocktail bars to pubs and Turkish bars to discos, there really is every option in this part of the town.
Marmaris Magic Garden
This tropical style nightclub is located in a stunning vibrant garden and serves a whole host of colourful drinks and delicious food while playing music of all genres.
Marmaris Green House
Opened 25 years ago, this place is a popular as ever. Music spans the decades and every season brings something new with it. This is how this place keeps people returning year after year.
Marmaris Long Beach
This is a groovy place to hang out whether it is day or night. When the dark of night cloaks the town, Marmaris Long Beach comes alive. Lights from all of the surrounding bars and clubs illuminate the beach and the melange of music always has a captivating beat. Go along, find yourself a spot and enjoy the atmosphere.
Marmaris Movies and Theatres
There are many movie theatres in Marmaris and one of the best is located on Netsel Marina. During the summer this area becomes an open cinema and a great place to catch a film, which will almost always be shown in the original language. Movies can also been seen at the amphitheatre during the tourist season.
