Treat Yourself in Costa Adeje

If you are looking for a slightly more upscale holiday resort and you enjoy the little luxuries in life, you may find that Costa Adeje, on Tenerife, is best suited to your taste. This newish resort is lined with plush hotels, modern attractions, high-end shopping, classy bars and sophisticated restaurants. As with the rest of the island, you will also find gorgeous beaches, blazing sun and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Beaches

The beaches are Tenerife’s biggest attractions and Costa Adeje boasts some of the best on the island. As one of the newer areas and somewhere that a lot of development money has been poured into, the beaches here have newer and better facilities both on- and offshore.

Many like to simply unwind on the sandy beaches with a good book, but you can also try your hand at surfing, water-skiing, jet biking and sailing. Playa del Duque is great for pampering, with massages on the beach available and beautiful turquoise waters, whilst Playa Fañabe & Torviscas is better suited to those wanting to try water sport activities.

Boat Cruise

Hire a motor/sailing yacht or luxury motor cruiser and head out into the ocean where you can sit back, relax and take in the stunning views of Tenerife’s mountain scenery with Tenerife Boat Charter.

Bars

The nightlife in Costa Adeje is more upscale than the surrounding areas and there are plenty of swanky bars and nightclubs to choose from. Acanto Cocktail & Lounge Bar (next to El Mirador shopping centre) is a hotspot with exotic cocktails, fine food, chilled music and a cool ambience at all times.

Restaurants

You are spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out at Costa Adeje. No matter whether you are in the mood for Italian, French, Mediterranean or home comforts – all the bases are covered here and there are many sophisticated restaurants for an enjoyable evening. La Nonna has earned a reputation as one of the best restaurants on the island and has spectacular views from the terrace of Playa del Duque beach.

Shopping

Shopaholics will be in paradise with plenty of high-end shopping available. Centro Commercial El Mirador Shopping Centre is an absolute must visit and here you will find authentic Canarian architecture, enclosed squares, independently owned stores and artisan markets. This creates a unique charm and alternative shopping experience. You can spend an entire day strolling the narrow streets and window shop before stopping off for a well-earned drink at a nearby bar.

Golf

Tenerife is also a premier destination for golfers and it is very popular in Costa Adeje. There is a superb 27-hole course near La Caleta, but they also have a challenging 9-hole course to try out. This is a great way to unwind and provides an alternative to chilling out on the beach.

Marbella

Spa

Getaways are all about treating yourself, so make sure that you book into one of the many wonderful spas in Costa Adeje. Aqua Club Thermal is an impressive health, wellness and spa centre which boasts incredible modern facilities; this includes an enormous dynamic hydrotherapy pool with 330 jets for your entire body. You can’t put a price on pampering to this standard!

Tenerife South (TFS) has more regular flights and airlines including Ryanair, Thomson Airways, British Airways and easyJet all make flights from London.
