The 2016 DACH HOLZ International Trade Fair in Stuttgart

Anybody who’s somebody in the building trade is probably getting ready to lay down tools in readiness to travel to one of the most important industry events of the year. The 2016 DACH+HOLZ International Trade Fair, held in Stuttgart, Germany from February 2nd to 5th, is a four-day event aimed at those in the roof and timber construction industry, including trades such as plumbing, carpentry and interior works. As well as construction and building experts, the show attracts real estate industry professionals, architects, and interior designers.

DACH+HOLZ International

The trade show, which has been running since 1957, alternates years between venues in Stuttgart and Cologne. This year it’s once again the turn of the world class Stuttgart Exhibition Centre to host the event, with more than 560 exhibitors scheduled to take part. Open since 2007, the hi-tech exhibition centre, chosen for its modern facilities and excellent transport links, makes it easy for the anticipated 50,000 visitors to access the vast and diverse range of products, services and tradespeople on display.

Exhibitors on Show

A key event for the roofing and construction industry, DACH+HOLZ International is the only comparable industry event that enables exhibitors to connect with specialists that specifically meet their target profile group.

The services exhibited at the show are categorised into around 40 themes, including subjects like Carpentry Technology, Plumbing Technology, Safety Equipment, Ancillary Supplies, Cranes and Machinery, Fastenings and Fixings, Metal Working, Flat Roofs, Sloping Roofs, Wood Processing Machinery, and so on.

Encompassing five massive halls of the Exhibition Centre, as well as an extensive open air area displaying cranes, scaffolding and special vehicles, the exhibitors are broken down into a cohesive layout for ease of navigation. Visitors can access the halls through either the east or west access points of the exhibition centre and there are detailed maps available, as well as large number of staff for assistance.

Fringe Programme

As well as facilitating connections with industry products and innovations, the show features a valuable fringe programme of supporting events including presentations, specialist talks, and special exhibitions. These fringe events enable industry professionals to forge valuable networks and bid for potential new business.
