Romania’s entry into the European Union in 2007 certainly put the country on the map in terms of tourism as the rest of Europe started to learn about the many diverse attractions the country has to offer. For summer holidays the Black Sea resorts such as Mamaia grew in popularity whilst winter tourism rocketed as skiers began heading for the Romanian mountains.
