La Tania is loved by many skiers for its low-key, friendly atmosphere, low prices and extensive transport links to the Three Valleys. It’s an excellent place for those new to skiing as well as those who prefer to avoid the competitive atmosphere of some of the larger resorts.
As it happens, La Tania also boasts some of the best cuisine in the Three Valleys ski area! Here we’ve collected a few of the best restaurants in the area, offering you a place to eat for every occasion.
Michelin-Starred Perfection – Le Farcon
If you’re after a top notch culinary experience, Le Farcon is umissable. Its world-class cuisine has earned it a Michelin star, and its chefs supply the kitchen through high quality, local producers.
Don’t let the promise of exquisite food give you doubts about the price and ambience: prices are very reasonable given the establishment’s quality and reputation, with 35 euro set menus available. What’s more, the service is friendly and far from stuffy, and the management doesn’t turn its nose up at diners still in their ski gear. Le Farcon is a restaurant with its focus squarely on the food rather than appearances, making it a highly recommendable dining experience!

Après-Ski Fun – Pub Le Ski Lodge
While La Tania, as a small resort, isn’t renowned for the intense après-ski associated with some of the larger ski resorts, it’s still possible to have a good time in the evening. Pub Le Ski Lodge is the hub of La Tania’s après-ski social life, and while it tends to emphasise its drinks selection and competitive prices, the food isn’t ignored either.
Primarily offering well-made English pub food, Pub Le Ski Lodge has a chilled out yet buzzing ambience. It’s a great place to grab a bite to eat and a few drinks, whether you’re planning on spending the night out or just want a bit of a party atmosphere with your dinner.
If you stay after eating, you’ll be treated to an excellent range of live music (bands such as The Dominos, Bjorn Again, Shibboleth and The Cheerleaders have played in the past) and a good selection of cocktails, flavoured vodkas and shooters to boot. Sports fans will be pleased to know that major sports events are televised in Pub Le Ski Lodge.

Traditional Savoyard Deli – La Saucisse Savoyarde
La Saucisse Savoyarde trades in traditional Savoyard deli fare, offering all the charcuterie, cheese, wine and preserves you’d expect of a local deli. What’s more, they prepare and serve meals all day. You can come in and warm up with a coffee and one of the shop’s renowned bacon sandwiches, or grab a few things to eat throughout the day.
If your ski chalet is self-catered, this is a great place to pick up supplies, and they even offer delivery of hot meals, making it perfect for those days when the slopes have exhausted you and you just want to relax in the chalet with a delicious, comforting meal.
