Fun by Day and Night in the Vibrant Resort of Limassol

If you’re looking for ideas for where to take a break with a group of friends that will not only keep everyone happy, but also not break a meagre budget, look no further!! As the second largest city on the island of Cyprus, Limassol packs a pretty hefty punch for those looking for fun, sun, dancing and drinking. Sound like your kind of place? You know it does!

Get Ready to Party in Limassol

While Cyprus is a dream destination for lovers of history and culture, it’s also got a very different side – and one you’re going to love. With a vibrant nightlife scene, great shopping and a range of other exciting activities to do during the day, it’s the perfect place to pack light, grab a group of like minded friends and get ready to go heavy on the fun!

Daytime Fun for All

We all know that the real fun on a group holiday is usually had after a few drinks once the sun goes down, but in Limassol there are some other pretty tempting activities to get involved in during daylight hours.

Get wet at the waterpark

There’s nothing like a waterpark to cure a hangover or get hyped up for a night of partying. Fasouri has plenty of slides, multiple swimming pools, lots of places to relax, a tattoo studio (as you do) and even a massage studio. Talk about something for everyone!

Hit the beach

With 18 beaches in the surrounding area, there’s enough to try a new one every day. Depending on your mood you can head down to Miami Beach (close to the centre), Kourion pebbly beach (for a little bit more peace and quiet) or Pissouri Beach, if you fancy treating yourself to a fabulous restaurant meal just a few steps away from the sand.

Bowl yourself over

The Space Bowling Club offers the perfect day out when you’re looking for something away from the beach. It’s great for groups and there are also billiard tables, games and an onsite restaurant.

Top tip: Make sure you book ahead if you’ve got a group.

The great escape room experience

A trip to an escape room is a fantastic bonding experience and a great way to get everyone in your group involved. Exit Factor gives you an hour to team up and make your escape using hidden codes and secret clues.

Pumping Nightlife

There are plenty of places to keep you happy, whether you’re looking for a quiet chill-out drink to nurse your sunburn, or you want to cut loose and party ‘til the sun comes up’. Need proof? Try these on for size (but make sure you seek out your own favourites as well).

  • Guaba Beach Bar: If you’re looking for cheap drinks, good music and a beachfront location, here it is! It’s only open in summer, but then when else would you be here? This is the place to come for a stonking beach party (trance and electro music) and it’s got a really chilled, friendly vibe.
  • Gioia Bar: If you want to stay up a little later, get on over to Gioia Bar, where you can dance to House, RnB and more until the wee hours.
  • Welcome Inn Irish Bar: When is an Irish bar not the best fun in town? Not here, because Welcome Inn is everything you expect of a good time and more. The pub is known for its cheap and hearty food, and the drinks are well priced and free flowing.
  • The Auld Triangle Disco: While some clubs can put a sizable dent in your holiday budget, the Auld Triangle helps you out with a free drink included in your entry fee. It’s open until 4.30am and the music ranges from 60s classics to thumping modern anthems.

Where to Stay

Le Village Hotel: With free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and a continental breakfast, Le Village is the perfect home away from home. The comfortable rooms include a mini-bar for those pre-party drinks and some also have a balcony. A short distance from the beach and within easy reach of the island’s attractions, there’s even an onsite bar that’s open 24-hours!

Happy Home: Perfectly named for its warm welcome and facilities, Happy Home offers free Wi-Fi, a well-equipped kitchen and a balcony for relaxing on with a drink before you head out for an evening. Close to the beach and with an excellent seafood restaurant on site, you’ll want for nothing during your stay.

Surf & Sun Holiday Apartments: In a magic location right on the seafront, the simple but well-facilitated apartments at Surf & Sun are spacious and have free Wi-Fi and air-conditioning. Close to cafes, restaurants and supermarkets, it’s the ideal accommodation for groups of friends.
