Explore Torrevieja’s Nightlife Scene on an Unforgettable Mates’ Holiday

One of the most popular tourist destinations on Spain’s sunny Costa Blanca, Torrevieja is a beach resort with something for everyone – including over 100 bars and clubs!

In this post, we’ll run through some of the best night spots in the area – and explain why it’s the perfect place to go for a fun-filled party holiday with friends.

222 Garden Tropic

One of the first things you’ll want to do after arriving in town is hit the beach, and with over 20km of beautiful white sand available, decked out with a variety of facilities and activities, you’d struggle to go wrong. So whether you’re looking for jet skiing or just sunbathing, you’re covered!

To continue the fun into the night, make a beeline for 222 Garden Tropic, which offers everything from snacks like pizza and ice cream to refreshing beers and fancy cocktails. Add in a great selection of music every night, and it’s the perfect place for that all-important first night on holiday.

Love Discoteca

A true classic, Love Discoteca has been a Torrevieja staple for well over two decades, thrilling hordes of punters every weekend of the year. It’s at its busiest over summer, though, and its location close to the town centre makes it one of the best spots in the area to meet and party with likeminded travellers and locals.

Even better, it’s open till 8am, so the party doesn’t have to stop when the sun rises.

Durty Nelly’s

For something a little different, Durty Nelly’s offers a taste of the traditional Irish pub filtered through Alicante’s famous ‘fun in the sun’ atmosphere. A range of sports is shown on the big screens throughout the day, and its menu of hearty pub grub makes it the perfect place to load up before a heavy night.

Of course, this post is about nightlife, and Durty Nelly’s is no slouch in that area, either. They’ve got everything from traditional Irish music to more conventional bands to themed nights and karaoke, if you want to belt out embarrassing ‘80s hits with your mates.

In short, it’s the perfect place for good, cheesy fun.

Menu items include:

  • Steaks
  • Burgers
  • Ribs
  • Sunday lunch

Top Tip: Come back the next morning to enjoy a full English breakfast – the best way to recover and get ready for the next night!

Oz

Although a change of hands means it no longer trades under the infamous Pacha brand, Oz remains as good a venue as it ever was, with great music pumping until 7am. Locals love it all year round and it gets absolutely packed in the peak season, making it another great place to dance the night away.

Top Tip: Come on a Friday to enjoy one of southern Spain’s specialties, the foam party.

The Elbow Room

Finally, we come to a slightly more upmarket establishment. Complete with pool room, VIP lounge and food offered from 9pm, The Elbow Room is a chillout space with class, encouraging guests to live it up in a different kind of party atmosphere. If you want a fun night but don’t feel up to full-on dancing and partying, this is the place for you.

Top Tip: Try the bar’s very own cocktail, called simply The Elbow, for a strong drink you won’t be able to get enough of!

Where to Stay

Apartment La Bonita

Located in the town centre and under a mile from nearby attractions, including the excellent Aquopolis waterpark, Apartment La Bonita is great for group holidays. Each apartment comes with two bedrooms, a kitchenette with fridge and microwave, a washing machine and a bathroom.

Apartment Adrianna

Another very central hotel, Apartment Adrianna offers similar amenities and facilities, including free WiFi throughout the complex and an outdoor pool open throughout the summer. Get in quick for this one!

How to Get There

After reading all this, you’ll be happy to hear that flights from the UK to Alicante airport are very affordable. The destination is so popular that various airlines offer over 70 flights there every week, and you’ll rarely pay much more than £50 for the journey.

Once you land, the best way to get from the airport to Torrevieja is with a shared transfer. As well as being more convenient and quicker than public transport, it might even work out cheaper if a group of mates splits the cost!
