Take a Carriage Ride
Kids will love the idea of travelling around the city in a horse drawn carriage. If you go early before it gets too hot and busy, this can be a great way to get orientated in the city. For around 30-40 euros, you can enjoy a 45-minute ride around the centre. Bring water and sunscreen though as this city can be a real suntrap, even in the morning. Seville Cathedral
This cathedral is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and took over 100 years to complete. Built on the site of a mosque, there are only two parts of the original building still evident: the Giralda Tower and the Courtyard of the Orange Trees. The old minaret is now the bell tower and the old ablutions patio is today’s pretty courtyard. The cathedral is stunning both externally and internally and Christopher Columbus and Ferdinand III of Castile are buried here; all educational talking points for children.
River Cruise
This is a lovely way for children to enjoy this city. Cruising down the river, families can take it all in while escaping from the heat of the day. The boats have lots of room to move around so children can appreciate the views from both sides of the boat. They can get a view of Torre del Oro, the Maestranza Bullring and the Triana Bridge.
