Enjoy Some Post Christmas Retail Therapy in Rome

Just because Christmas is over, it doesn’t mean you have to refrain from spoiling yourself or from indulging in a January shopping trip: you never know, you might even pick up a bargain or two! Via Del Corso

Another place boasting great high street shops, this long narrow street is right at the heart of Rome’s historic centre and only a short walk from some of the big attractions such as the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain. Evenings are the best time to take a stroll here when you will join the other avid shoppers seeking out the likes of Mango, Diesel and Zara. There are also some wonderful bookstores on this street and the rather beautiful Galleria Alberto Soldi shopping centre.

Porto Portese Flea Market

Markets are often considered a true reflection of a place and this flea market, the largest in Rome held every Sunday morning, is no exception. The mix of second hand and new goods, antiques, foods and general market fare is more than enough to keep the budding shopper busy for a couple of hours.

EurRoma2 and Castel Romano Outlet

This rather up and coming shopping centre in the EUR area of Rome is elegant and chic with decorated glass domes and an unusual, yet sophisticated style. Full of chain stores and designer shops, this place also boasts some lovely cafes and fine restaurants. All indoors this is the place to go when the January weather has you looking for somewhere out of the cold.
