When you are travelling with children old enough to express their disapproval over your pick of holiday and activities, it can be a become a bit intimidating trying to figure out a destination that will appeal to two very different age groups. Cala’n Bosch, on the southwest coast of Menorca, is beach resort that families with teenage children tend to love.

Aquatic Activities for Everyone to Enjoy
Aquarock Water Park
The biggest water park in Menorca, Aquarock offers slides of increasingly intimidating heights, three different pools, one of which has a wave machine, and a couple of areas where you can put your towel down and rest before heading to the next attraction. Especially when you are travelling with teenagers, there can never be enough activities that get their heart racing and adrenalin rushing, so the water park is a great option for an intense, fun-filled day.
If you want to top the day off with even more excitement, after you dry yourself up and put your swimming suits away, you can head to the go-karting track right next door to the water park.

Entry to Aquarock costs 20€ for adults and 11€ for children. One go-karting race costs adults 16€ and children €11.
Bluewater Scuba
Diving is a great choice for families with older children who are very confident in their swimming skills. Cala’n Bosch is a perfect spot for diving, with its turquoise waters, underwater caverns, stalactites and stalagmites sculpted by the waves, and even shipwrecks awaiting you if you venture deep enough.
Average visibility is 30 metres, usually more, and due to the lack of significant pollution, Menorca’s waters have a brilliant diversity of marine life. You can choose to either shore dive or boat dive and there are both morning and afternoon sessions so you can easily arrange it around your other plans. If your teens are on the younger side or slightly hesitant about jumping in, Bluewater Scuba also offers trial scuba diving sessions at a number of hotel pools.

The Underwater Sea Adventure costs 70€ per person, 80€ if you choose to boat dive. Pool diving sessions range between 5€ and 25€, depending on the length of the session and the activities included.
Paddleboarding
If you prefer to spend your time on the water surface rather than deep down in the sea, paddleboarding can be lots of fun for the whole family. From falling over repeatedly to suddenly developing the skill being able to stand for no apparent reason, laughs are guaranteed for everyone involved. Furthermore, it is easily adapted to everyone’s age and Surf & Sail Menorca offer sunset excursions too.
Prices
Independent paddleboarding is 10€ for one hour, 18€ for two hours. If you want an hour-long lesson, the charge is 30€. If you’d rather take part in the sunset excursion, it is 30€ per person.
Glass Bottom Boat Trip
If you’re looking for a half-day trip out of Cala’n Bosch, there are two glass bottom boats that depart from the town’s marina. Both of them will sail by some lovely, unspoilt beaches before dropping you off at one of them for an hour and a half, so you can enjoy the crystalline waters and soft sand as you please. The morning trip is from 10:00h to 13:30h and the afternoon trip is from 14:00h to 17:30h.

How to Get to Cala’n Bosch
The easiest way to get to Cala’n Bosch is by flying from London to Menorca Airport. Prices vary depending on the dates and airlines, but budget airline prices tend to be around £90. Once you have landed, the best way to reach Cala’n Bosch is by taking a pre-booked speedy Menorca airport transfer. The journey takes just under an hour.
Due to the size of the island, there are no public transport options available to travel between Menorca airport and Cala’n Bosch.
