These two bucket list buster cities often come in neck-in-neck – but maybe this infographic can give lovely London or dreamy Paris the extra push it needs to become the winner. Read on for an overview of each urban hub and decide for yourself which is the top travel destination.

London Loves

  • Arts and Culture – There are around 240 museums in London, and the average price for a ticket? Nada. That’s right, one of the major perks of London is that it is known for its free museums and art galleries. History lovers can rejoice in this fact as the city houses the British Museum, which contains eight million artefacts including the Rosetta Stone, the Natural History Museum, where you can see the skeletons of a 25m blue whale and a 32m diplodocus dinosaur, and the five branches of the Imperial War Museums, which are home to the Churchill War Rooms.
  • Family Fun – Whether you’ve got kids or you’re a kid at heart, there’s tons of all-ages fun to be had here, ranging from a visit to Harry Potter World to a stroll around (and an ice cream in) one of the eight royal parks.
  • Landmarks – Whether you want modern (like the Shard or the London Eye) or traditional (such as the infamous Tower of London or celebrated Westminster Abbey), London has a plethora of well-known sites to visit.

  • Arts and Culture – Head to the Louvre to see Paris’ leading ladies, Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo, or take a trip to the Musée d’Orsay to get lost in Vincent van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’. Not so into art? Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie is the largest science museum in all of Europe and has everything from an IMAX theatre to exhibitions perfect for children.
  • Family Fun – Did you know that Disneyland Paris is the most visited attraction in the entire city? Featuring over 49 fantastic activities, this all-ages hot spot really is the place where dreams come true. If you need a break from all that Mickey Mouse madness, Paris has everything from woodlands to public gardens – perfect for a relaxing day out with the kids as you take in all the Parisian perfection
  • Landmarks – Paris is home to the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. Need I say more?

So who wins, London or Paris? Probably best to visit each city in person before you make your final decision.
