Avoriaz on Foot, Ski, and Hoof

When you first arrive in the French alpine resort town of Avoriaz, one thing will strike you immediately: there’s not a car in sight. That’s because this historic town is fully pedestrianised! To get around town, you may have to call on the assistance of a horse-drawn sleigh or ski to your destination! If you enjoy being wheels-free, you might even want to try snowshoeing or even make an attempt at skijoring!

You will need automobile transport for one thing, however: getting up the mountain and to the town itself! Shuttle Direct is now offering a shared shuttle bus service from Geneva Airport to Avoriaz for only £32.35. After parking, however, you’ll have to hail a sleigh!
