Discover Europe’s Largest Naturist Resort

Vera Playa, located in southeast Spain, is warm and sunny and attracts tourists all year round. It is most famous for its status as Europe’s only all year round naturist resort and indeed, with its 2km of excellent naturist beach and a naturist residential area, it is the place to go if you want to let go and enjoy your holiday the natural way. The residential zone is made up of 2000 privately owned apartments, a beautiful 4-star hotel and a number of very nice bars, restaurants and shops. The lovely thing about Vera Playa’s naturist area is that it is not exclusive and is not owned by any club or company. It is completely accessible to the outside world and has public streets and a lovely promenade too.

Rather unique, this resort is a very special place to visit, boasting a vibrant, friendly atmosphere and a relaxed laidback feel. Of course with all that fresh air au naturel you’ll be looking for a good meal at the end of your day so we’re offering you a couple of our personal restaurant recommendations in Vera Playa.

The Blue Parrot

Some may say that this is one of the best-kept secrets in Vera Playa and we would agree. Serving fabulous homemade food all day, The Blue Parrot never seems to be closed. Children are very welcome here and there is a pool table and a dartboard too. The speciality dish has to be the beer battered fish and chips that you can enjoy on the large terrace where there is also an outside bar area. On Wednesdays there is a quiz night here and there is plenty of other entertainment throughout the week too. We think this place is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a relaxed, fun and delicious place to eat.

El Balconito

This is our favourite tapas restaurant in town and when you see the huge selection of freshly prepared offerings you are bound to agree. Served in the comfort of a typical Spanish bar, these tasty morsels of traditional fare will keep you going all afternoon. You can also enjoy a menu of the day here if you prefer. Spanish beers and wines are served and there is free Wi-Fi should you need it. This place is very popular though so if you want to eat here you may need to book to avoid being disappointed.

There are so many restaurants and bars in and around Vera Playa that you will be spoilt for choice. This is a lovey place to wander at night too: the balmy air and the safe atmosphere make it a pleasure to stroll gently back to your hotel after your meal.
