It is not that long ago that I was young, free and full of an insatiable zest for life, and I enjoyed many a nocturnal holiday, letting my hair down and partying hard with my friends. One of the best destinations for lads, according to my personal male sources, is Magaluf. Considered the ultimate in clubbing holiday spots, it also boasts amazing weather and incredible beaches, perfect for sleeping off the hangovers!
The Ultimate Boys’ Night Out Destination
strong>Reason 1 – The Magaluf Club Pass
Clubbing can be an expensive pastime, but summer partying in Magaluf doesn’t have to be if you invest in the 7-night Club Pass, which allows you access to all of the clubs on the main strip every night. Apart from being really convenient, as you don’t need to pay entrance every night or indeed queue to get in, you also get to attend all the events that include foam parties, UV parties and celebrity appearances. On top of this there are 4 nights worth of free drinks! At £70 (low season) the pass is a bargain and an essential for any avid clubber.
Reason 2 – Weekender Pass
Feelsummer are the number one event company in Magaluf and offer an awesome package for weekend partying. New for this year, the Weekender Pass includes a weekend bursting with the ultimate in events and attractions that the resort has to offer. Buy the pass and you save money, have everything planned for you and don’t even have to carry cash for drinks, as they are all part of the package. Some of the weekend highlights include the Pirates Reloaded Show, the Catamaran Booze Cruise and the Ocean Beach Pool Party. Book now here and you’ll pay the reduced price of £110 for three nights of utter madness!
Reason 3 – A Huge Range of Events
There is so much going on in Magaluf in the summer, and as soon as night falls the place comes alive. Clubs open their doors to everyone who wants to come and soak up the vibe. But it’s not only the regular clubbing scene that attracts the thousands of party goers each year – you can also get involved in foam parties, pool parties, and parties on boats. Many events are themed and lots of clubs offer discounts and deals depending on what they have on.
There is a huge celebrity scene here too, so look out for famous DJ names, as lots of them do the rounds in Magaluf.
Reason 4 – The Weather and Beaches
Although you’ll probably see much more of the night than the day while on holiday in Magaluf, you really should try and hang out on the beaches and enjoy the weather as much as you can too. Temperatures hang out at around 28°C, and sunshine, gorgeous white sand, cool bars, and an awesome atmosphere make Magaluf an all round great place to go.
How To Get to Magaluf
I just love the fact that this resort is so easy to get to from the UK, but even more than that I love the fact that there are so many budget airlines offering great deals on flights to Palma, the nearest airport to Magaluf. Monarch, easyJet and Thomson fly from London Gatwick, while Ryanair are the go-to choice when flying from Stansted. Flying from the north, you probably want to look at Jet2 or FlyBe, who both have some incredible deals.
No doubt, on arrival, you will be keen to get to your hotel and check out the social scene ASAP! Well, because the transfer is only 25 minutes, you will be there in no time. Make your onward travel as seamless as possible and book a transfer with Shuttle Direct. If you choose a shared service, you can expect to pay around £5.50 one way, but if you want to opt for a door-to-door service in your own private vehicle, then it’ll still only cost you around £13. This is a real bargain for a personal meeting on arrival, your own driver direct to your hotel, and an efficient and hassle free transfer.
Where to Stay:
Sol House Mallorca Mixed by Ibiza Rocks – The ultimate in chic elegance, this cool, contemporary hotel suits anyone who loves to sleep off their hangovers in a little luxury. Featuring lots of entertainment, DJ and pool parties, as well as live music, you don’t have to go far to get your fix. The free Wi-Fi is one bonus, but I think the access to an App that provides you with event information, playlists and a 24-hour Social Guest Service is such a great idea. With a stunning pool, Balinese sun loungers that offer top class comfort, and even a gym (should you have any energy left after all the partying), Sol House Mallorca is a firm favourite. An all-day breakfast option is a dream and another stroke of genius.
Apartamentos Inn – If you want to stay in a spot where you have more than just your own room, then Apartamentos Inn is a great option. Having a kettle and a toaster is a real treat for when you arrive home in the early hours and breakfast is not set up yet. When breakfast does start, however, expect a good feed here! In a great location between Magaluf and Matias, the hotel has lots of outdoor space with a pool and sun loungers, perfect for those afternoon naps.
Apartamentos Sotavento – Although I am a mum myself, I appreciate that there is a time and a place for kids. Apartamentos Sotavento is an adult only hotel, close to Magaluf Beach and all the nightlife. Hosting its own pool parties and resident DJs, you can see why kids just won’t fit in. Apartments have private balconies and the much-needed air-conditioning, plus a kitchenette for when you get the munchies post party! When in Magaluf, you will find that time just doesn’t seem to exist, so the fact that the restaurant here serves until late into the night is a definite plus.
