Baby Boomer Bars
If you’ve already had your fill of nightclubs in your youth, you might appreciate the slightly more mature atmosphere in the Patch, a cluster of bars on and around Calle Mexico. Another good bet is Parque de la Paz, located just a few blocks south near the Avenue las Américas.
Catering mostly to an older crowd, both the Patch and Parque de la Paz packed with music venues and laid-back bars playing throwbacks of the likes of Neil Diamond and Tina Turner. Fans of rock and roll will love the Sax Bar, while Motown aficionados will appreciate the chance to try on their dancing shoes at Soul Suite.

How to Get There
Tenerife is served by two airports – one in the north of the island, and one in the south. Playa de las Américas is nearer to the latter. All of the major London airports have nonstop flights to Tenerife South, about a 4.5-hour journey. Choose from airlines including British Airways, easyJet, Ryanair, Monarch and Norwegian Air.
Once you’ve arrived at the airport, your destination is only a 15-minute drive away. If you don’t feel like navigating foreign roads, we recommend booking a private or shared shuttle from Tenerife South to Playa de Las Américas.
Public transportation is also available from the airport. The 450 bus route leaves from arrivals and stops at both Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas for only €3,20.
