While San Antonio in Ibiza is most famous for its busy clubbing scene, all night parties and big names DJs, it also holds many a hidden treasure along its stunning coastline. This part of Ibiza has some beautiful beaches and here we let you into the secret that is our favourite three.
Pinet Playa (Reggae Beach)
This beach stands out among the rest because of its likeness to a beach in the Caribbean. San Antonio has many a beautiful beach, seafront bar and water sport venue but Reggae Beach holds a different appeal. The colourful bar known as the Global Reggae Bar flies the Jamaican flag and serves classic Jamaican cocktails that are evocative of far flung places. With Bob Marley pumping out of the beat box, this beach is definitely unique among the others on the island. If you turn up on a Sunday afternoon, there is even a Jamaican BBQ serving Caribbean specialities, such as Jerk Chicken and rice.

Cala Gracio
Only a short walk from San Antonio, this beach is a haven of tranquillity compared to the busy atmosphere in the town and on the main beach itself. There is a restaurant here and the lovely scenery that surrounds the bay makes you feel a million miles away. This is a real find if you are looking for something quieter and more relaxing to spend a day or two.
Cala D’Hort
Overlooking the island of Es Vedra, this gorgeous little beach has a beach boutique that sells swimwear of a designer style. Rather sophisticated, this chic and somewhat charming setting appeals to the more discerning beach lover. Great scenery and three local restaurants serving traditional island food make this place a real hidden delight.
So, if you are thinking of coming to Ibiza and want to enjoy some of its marvellous beaches, you will not be disappointed. Over 80 beaches on the island include our favourite hidden gems plus many other more popular ones. All are very well maintained and are clean and well serviced. Water is clear, the sand is white and the sunsets on this island are among the most awesome in the world, so what more could you want?
