The highest of the villages in the Val di Fassa, Canazei is renowned for being in a wonderful geographical position with regards to the Dolomite Passes and the Dolomite Superski, as it offers skiers the opportunity to move quickly between some of the best ski slopes in Europe. Moreover, non-skiers should also think of paying it a visit, as there are plenty of cross-country trails and valley walks for them to explore.
As you wander around town, you will find yourself bumping into some surprising architectural features. From Hotel Dolomiti to Hotel Rita to Hotel El Ciasel, with its peculiar hand-painted outer walls – the picturesque buildings are truly a sight to behold here.
