Whether you are a history nerd or a Game of Thrones buff, seeing Alcúdia’s 14th century city walls is an impressive experience. Although often overlooked by non-Spaniard tourists, climbing the steps to the top of the wall is a highly recommended activity, as you will be able to take in miles and miles of beautiful views and soak in some extra rays of sun.
If you venture further along, you will discover that Alcúdia’s traditional streets are lined with houses which are full of character, as well as friendly, noisy neighbours going about their day. Once you reach the beach, walk along the promenade to see one of Alcúdia’s best-loved quirks: sandcastles. Professionally crafted, these can range from small to meter-high constructions with incredible amounts of detail for what is usually a children’s past-time.
Not to be overlooked, Alcúdia is a must-go destination for both winter sun and summer holidays!
