Travelling with children

ShuttleDirect understands that you want to travel in comfort and have the knowledge that your child is travelling safely.

These are our child policies:

An infant is a child under the age of 2 years (0-24 months).

A child is aged between 2 and 12 years.

Child security:

Children under 12 years of age must be seated in the rear and use a seatbelt or an approved child seat.

In any case it is the parent's final responsibility to check that baby seats, or booster seats, are secured properly.

Reservations must be made in advance.

Shared transfers do not supply baby seats or child booster seats.

Private transfers up to 4 people.

These transfers will be travelling by private chauffeured car or taxi.

Infants travelling on this type of vehicle should travel in baby seat.

We do not supply baby seats for children up to 15 months (up to 13kg - 29lbs). We recommend you bring these carry cots for your baby.

Infants from 15 months up to 24 months should travel in baby seats. Not all destinations cater for these baby seats, we require you to contact us previously to check availability and price of baby seat if you require us to supply the seat. You may also use your own car-type baby seat.

Children over two are recommended to travel on child booster seats or booster cushions, we require you to contact us previously to check availability and price of booster seats.

Private Group transfers of 5 or more passengers.

These transfers will be travelling on minibus, people carrier or coach. We do not supply baby seats of any kind on these types of vehicles. You may optionally bring your own baby seat.

Prams/Stroller and pushchairs:

Prams/Strollers and pushchairs must be without a hood and must be fully collapsible.

One pram/stroller or pushchair may be carried per person free of charge.

Unaccompanied Minors:

ShuttleDirect does not cater for unaccompanied minors.
